ICO Telegram has managed to attract $ 850 million

The creators of Telegram Pavel and Nikolai Durov filed a “Notice of Exempt Offering of Securities” in the Commission on securities and stock exchanges of the USA (SEC) which said they managed to raise 850 million US dollars from 81 investor for the “development and support of blockchain TON for Telegram messenger”.

Securities specified in the notice to the SEC, describes how acquired in the framework of the “Agreement to purchase cryptocurrency”. Among investors from the United States were only accredited investors, i.e. those who have invested more than 1 million or have an annual income exceeding 200,000 dollars. This is necessary in order not to register tokens as securities in the SEC.

Despite the fact that the SEC application does not list any of the investors, the Russian edition of Vedomosti published the names of some of them, citing domestic sources.

According to rumors, ICO Telegram has been in the process of development since December 2017, and in mid-January whitepaper TON got into the press, but the authenticity of this document has not been confirmed.
