Amazon AWS makes it easy to use Hyperledger and Ethereum
Amazon Web services, Amazon’s cloud division, has introduced a new service for working with ethereum and Hyperledger Fabric protocols.
AWS chief Evangelist Jeff Barr said that the recently released “templates” will allow customers “to launch the network on the basis of ethereum (public and/or private) or on the basis of HyperledgerFabric (private) for a few minutes and with just a few clicks”.
Templates configure the AWS resources needed to run your network quickly, reliably, and on a scale.
The post contains detailed instructions on how to configure the ethereum template that supports mining, EthStats for monitoring core network metrics, and the EthExplorer tool that displays transactions and smart contracts in the registry.
AWS is Amazon’s fast-growing business segment, with sales up 55 percent in 2016 and 43 percent in 2017. This division is in fierce competition with the cloud services of other tech giants, including Microsoft Azure.
Google, according to Bloomberg, is working on creating a blockchain solution for its cloud business.
AWS announced in 2016 that it will start working with blockchain startups, offering them specialized technical support and the necessary infrastructure.
